Part of our You. Even better. offering includes easy access to our comprehensive wellness program, Vitality. This program develops personalized wellness plans and goals for employees and their families, based on results from their biometric screenings and health assessments. Each goal is supported by an action plan with recommended activities and completion criteria. Once a goal is achieved, the participant is typically presented with a maintenance goal to encourage ongoing healthy behavior throughout the plan year.

Vitality rewards employees and their families for continual and ongoing efforts toward sustained behavioral changes. As employees and their families participate in healthy activities, such as walking 10,000 steps per day or getting preventive health screenings, they enjoy the benefits of healthier living and earn Vitality Points, which can be redeemed for rewards and discounted medical premiums.

Our health and wellness plan is focused on full engagement, from our CEO and executive committee to the operations teams to each individual employee. One way that we measure the ongoing success of our benefits offerings is to survey our employees. In our Employee Opinion Survey (EOS), McKesson employees are asked how McKesson’s benefits compare to other companies and if the benefits program fits their needs. For the fourth year in a row, employee feedback has helped us achieve recognition as one of Towers Watson’s “Global High Performance” companies – a select group of organizations that combine outstanding survey results with industry-leading financial performance.
